All members of our school community are encouraged to attend. For those who wish to provide a public comment in support of our school, the procedure is as follows:
- How to Sign Up for Public Comment / Public Hearing
- Arrive before the meeting starts: typically, 15-30 min early.
- Look for the public comment sign-in sheet or speaker cards: usually located on a table near the entrance or back of the room.
- Write your name on the sign-in list before the Board moves to the public comment agenda item. Historically, CUSD has required speakers to sign a sheet to be “recognized” to speak.
- When the Board opens the public comment item (often labeled Public Comments – Agenda & Non-Agenda Items or similar), speakers are called in order of sign-up.
- Time limits apply: Speakers are limited to 1 minute each
- Note: Comments must be respectful and relevant to district business.
